The cover and interiors on this book were extremely brittle, to the point where handling the book caused further losses on both the cover and interior. To begin, the folios were numbered and then the staples were removed. Each folio had split at the spine and in order to effectively address the brittleness and recreate the areas of loss, each folio was leaf-cast. After leaf-casting, all infilled areas of the cover were inpainted to recreate missing artwork and graphics. Each folio was then refolded and the entire book reassembled.
