Tales of Suspense #39
Once the staples were
removed, the cover and interiors were separated and the cover was solvent
bathed to remove any excess oil from the cover - this brightens the colors
of the cover by removing the overall yellow tint that most Marvel comics
have. The cover and interiors were then humidified and flattened,
missing areas of the cover were infilled and damaged areas reinforced. All infilled areas of the cover were inpainted to recreate missing artwork and graphics.
The book was then refolded, the spine roll removed and the entire book
reassembled and pressed.
